Pyjama pants...

Apologies for the Americanism in the title there but pyjama trousers just calls novelty print hippo PJs to mind [just me then?] rather than this rather slinky pair of trousers. I have worn these on the blog before and my styling is practically identical... I guess even fashion bloggers lack inspiration!

As you can see, my bronzey cardigan made a reappearance  as it matched the little bronze dots on the trousers perfectly. Every time I wear these I remember how comfy they are but I never know what to pair with them to make them look less dowdy... This outfit was worn to the theatre and the thin layers were perfect as the auditorium was freezing!

I know this is deeply uncool but I wish all heels were this height, then I might have some chance of actually walking in them!


I think it's partly the fit and style of the trousers but I hate how hey hang so low so I hoisted them up with a subtly clashing belt. This gorgeous necklace was from Accessorize, I can;t be the only person who bookmarks stuff for when it goes in the sale can I? I just don't know why you would buy anything full price?!

It's not goodbye, it's a see you later...


Exciting things have been happening chez Fallon. I have managed to get myself a snazzy new job which I am super  excited about and all in the same week, found the most gorgeous flat to move in to with Mark. Unfortunately, this means that I will be without internet for a while so posts on this blog will be a little sparse. as until I started packing I never realised just how many clothes I had! Hopefully I will be back soon but with moving house and changing jobs, I'm not sure when it will be...

Daffodil dress...

Easter is always a big occasion in my family and this year was no exception. It was fantastic to see nearly all of my family and as ever, the food was fantastic! These photos have been sitting on my computer for ages but I wore a variation of this outfit for all the Easter festivities...

This seems to be my go to dress for family occasions where you want to look like you have made an effort but also know that there is going to be lots of nice food- although I would usually avoid a drop waist, this one seems to skim my food baby nicely ;)


Another day, another backless dress!


The colours on this dress were described as looking like a daffodil, like custard and the inside of a Crème Egg, perfect for my new-found love for the colour yellow! 


I love the tiny pleats and the contrasting sleeves. I never thought I would be a fan of either yellow or leopard print but here I am wearing both in one outfit... blogging has certainly taken me out of my comfort zone!

The best part of Easter for me though has to be the Easter Egg hunt, you're never too old for hunting chocolate right?!

Red hot...

I should say now, these photos were taken in that brief window of time where the sun was actually out and it was warm enough not to have to wear a coat, unfortunately now I am back huddled up in my winter woolies! There's nothing particularly exciting about this outfit but I loved the individual pieces together and liked it so much that I just had to share...

You all know how much I love the colour red, so when these shorts came into the sale, it was a total no-brainer. I loved how they were high waisted but also long enough that I didn't have to keep pulling them down all day.


Even from the back they looked OK, I find some high waisted things make you look like a sack of potatoes so I was glad to see that this wasn't the case!


Mark commented that it looked like the waistband was a simple 'cut and paste jobby' and I think he's right!


My favourite Breton striped tee, perfect for keeping off the chills and for covering over my less than tanned arms!


My updated version of my classic nude flats. My old Dorothy Perkins one had really suffered enough so I thought it was more humane to replace them before they completely fell apart. I wore these to the Aussie party and didn't hurt my feet at all, despite trekking round London, definitely a win in my book!

I always feel incredibly lucky to be an Aussie Angel, they are a brand that not only have a great product but a fantastic PR team and I have made so many friends thanks to their wonderful events. Unfortunately my visit was short but sweet but I hope to see everyone soon! I met some lovely bloggers like Faye but unfortunately I don't have any pictures!

Zebra scarves and superheroes...

If you were going to sum me up in one outfit, it would probably look something like this. Cute dress? Check. Bright colours? Check? Matchy matchy? Check. A sense of fun? Check. It may not be particularly ground-breaking fashionwise but sometimes you just want to wear a nice dress and feel pretty AMIRITE? I have more or less given up on trying to keep this slip from poking out of the bottom of this dress and am treating it as an extra layer. I have an image of wearing a cropped white camisole with a white petticoat underneath instead but have no idea where I would find one...any ideas?

 The cute badges are c/o the lovely Sophie at Crown and Glory. I received these pins in my goody bag from the Brum Blogger Meet and they have been the perfect finishing touch on my blazers recently. 


The gorgeous pink bag was a recent treat from Mark to match my increasing number of hot pink items and I am in love. It is a soft buttery suede and surprisingly roomy (perfect for the girl who carries everything but the kitchen sink!)


I had to dedicate the post to this wonderful zebra print scarf though! Perfect for those cooler evenings and for when you want to subtly jazz up an outfit. For some reason it's not on New Look's website but I have seen it in quite a few stores. Worn traditionally above and as  a SUPERHERO WORTHY CAPE below. I think my alter ego 'Mighty Mia' * looks pretty darn cool, don't you agree?!

Hedgehogs at Brownies...

I have spoken about helping out at Brownies before and although I am fairly busy, I will always try and make time for it as I find it really rewarding.I have been helping out since I was 13 and I love being able to do some crafty things and spend some time nurturing these girls [cheesy but true]. This week though, rather than making something or going somewhere, we had a visit from A HEDGEHOG. We recently held a coffee morning to celebrate our 50th anniversary and the money we raised, we donated to Vale Wildlife and to say thank you they came in to tell us a bit more about the work they do.

Isn't she the cutest?! Kim from the Vale Wildlife centre told us lots about the animals that they care for and brought in a hedgehog for us to see. I nearly died as she was gorgeous! Kim also brought in lots of nests and skins for us to have a look at and it was really amazing to see what the nests looked like...

The hedgehog was shy at first but soon grew in confidence!
Gulls egg.
Owl pellet made up of all the bones/fur/feathers that an owl regurgitates as it can't digest them... NIIIICE

Antlers. Trying to explain the rutting season to a group of curious 7 year olds was an interesting experience!

Tarantula skin. I had no idea that tarantulas shed their skin like snakes but you learn something new every day! This was a fairly old specimen and unfortunately some of the legs had come off!

We laid all of these different bits out on the table and the Brownies were able to go and have a closer look at each one which I thought was nice...


Did you know, hedgedhogs have very strong front legs as they use them for digging which means they are incredibly fast. 

It moved so fast the camera couldn't catch a picture!
The Easter bunny also visited!

Apologies for the blurry photos, it is difficult to take photos when you have 24 excited girls all craning to see a little hedgehog! Although I am not what you would call interested in nature or the 'great outdoors' [I always joke that I am allergic to fresh air] it was really interesting to find out a bit more about the wild animals we have that are native to this country. Vale Wildlife costs £20,000 A  MONTH to run so every bit that people can do really helps, after all prevention is better than cure!
