A love letter to Hobbs...

Like Laura Ashley, Hobbs is one of those places that I really can't afford to shop at but I still do. The thing is, their clothes and shoes are so well made that they are worth spending a bit more on and also the designs and the attention to detail really are something else. Although I'm not snobby about brands, I do think it is always worth getting the highest quality you can afford along with only buying clothes that you really love and Hobbs fits both those criteria! I bought this top in the sale before Christmas and have been waiting for the weather to warm up so I can wear it properly. Although it is sleeveless, the higher neckline means that I can wear it to work and keep cool without flashing too much flesh, always a winner!

Blazer: Tesco,  top: NW3 by Hobbs, skirt: Vila via ASOS, belt: Topshop (from this dress), shoes: Accessorize
I absolutely fell in love with the print on this top when I saw it (unfortunately the top isn't available but this rather lovely dress is instead) and I knew that it would be so versatile as I own a lot  of clothes in red, blue and yellow. It is quite a loose fit for me but it looks equally nice tucked in as it does untucked, over some skinny jeans or slim-fit trousers...

I think pencil skirts can be super flattering if you have a figure similar to mine as they tend to skim my wobbly bits quite nicely and the stretchiness helps to fit my odd measurements, I told you that there was quite a substantial difference between my waist and hips!
Please excuse my face, I'm not quite sure what's going on!
This pencil skirt is ridiculously comfy as it is made out of a think jersey fabric but unfortunately the waistband rolls slightly, do you have any tips to stop it from curling up?

What do you wear to keep cool in the heat? Which brands do you love?

Love this outfit! I find it so difficult to dress for the office in this weather, but this looks lovely!

You look stunning, and wow is your waist tiny! I love the pattern on your top, fun but grown-up enough for the office. I'm so glad I don't have full time work atm, being able to wear whatever I want in this weather makes my life so much easier xo

That top is gorgeous, I love the print! I completely agree about buying more expensive clothes - I always feel a bit guilty when I spend so much money on one item, but they always fit much better and last longer so it's definitely worth it.
I have a similar jersey pencil skirt from H&M and I have the same problem with it rolling up - so annoying!

I've heard such great things about Hobbs recently, and already know that their quality is amazing. I don't mind paying more if I know it's something that will really last.
The top is such a lovely piece.

And I'm a massive fan of pencil skirts. This one fits you so well.

Twit twoo Maria! ;) You have the most beautiful figure, those curves! Love this ensemble, you look so chic. I don't usually go into Hobbs either (student loan = minimal budget) but always have a look through the window at the beautiful boots in the wintertime ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad

I love the print, you just don't find nice things like that in cheaper shops. I think you should spend good money on items like shoes and underwear becasue you wear them so much. A top like this can be worn for so many occasions, worth it! x
