Cafe latte...

Certain colour combinations always look great together and I think brown, caramel and cream will always look luxe. The wonderful Islabell (whose blog is a constant source of inspiration) inspired me with this colour combination and I couldn't wait to replicate it with pieces from my own wardrobe...

Coat: Dannimac (stolen from Mum), dress: Topshop, belt: vintage Laura Ashley, boots: Carvela via John Lewis, fur stole: H&M
I am always wary of this dress looking too bridal so the brown accessories toned it down and  provided a nice contrast against the bright white lace.  As ever, I have my favourite accessories combination topped with my favourite coat which has barely left my side. The cashmere and angora mix is perfect for keeping me all snuggly and warm!

The dress originally came with an under-slip but it was SO short that it was indecent so I bought a replacement from good old M&S to keep my dignity intact.... unfortunately it is longer than the dress in all of these photos, DOH!

Pretty lace and a full skirt make Maria a very happy girl indeed...

I loved the mix of textures that the accessories provided and  I can't wait to add longer socks and taller boots as the nights draw in! This faux fur stole is becoming another blogger favourite (remember that cranberry Topshop skirt?) but it's easy to see why- it keeps me super cosy whilst adding a sense of slapdash elegance to any outfit.

How would you 'de-bridal' this dress? Would you wear faux fur?

P.S. Apologies for my continued absence from blogging, I have been so busy but I cannot wait to catch up on all your fab posts! <3

You look beautiful - hope you had a fab birthday! I don't think the dress looks too bridal, well, unless you stuck a veil on, then it might!! I'd definitely team it with faux fur, a leather jacket, thick black tights & shoe boots xx

I love little white lace dresses. they are so feminine and cute. I would probably throw a leather jacket over the top to make a sharp contrast.

This dress is absolutely adorable, and works so well with the fur stole. I actually think the slip being a bit longer is quite pretty as it adds different lengths to the outfit. Looking lovely as always :) xxx

Ohh my your hair is amazing! It's soooo thick O_O I like this dress on you it looks so 50's! Hmm i'd say wear tights with it! But that's my answer to most fashion conundrums! Tights are my safety blanket O_o xxx

I love how you've styled this outfit, cream and brown look so good together! One of my favourite dresses is a cream lace one and I always seem to end up pairing it with brown or dark green accessories.

This is so cute!
I think I'd tone down the bridal doing exactly what you're already doing - keeping accessories dark. I'd also wear a darker lipstick to give it an edgier feel.
That dress is absolutely fairytale to-die-for though! x

That is a gorgeous colour combination! I am wary of white, as like you say it can look a bit bridal, but this is perfect, and doesn't seem that way to me at all.

Aaaah I always worry about white dresses on me too, because I've got dark hair at the moment and pasty skin it makes me look either really flushed (not good) or corpse like (again, not good). I might be tempted to throw on a tshirt on a dress like this, or a jumper... or maybe even a long sleeved coloured tee underneath? ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
