Usually when I write these kind of posts I know what I want the answer to be, but on this jumper I am really torn! I picked it up at work on double disciount day so it was a very reasonable price but I'm just not sure if it suits me....
Jumper: George at ASDA, shorts: New Look, shoes: New Look, necklace: Topshop. |
In my head I look very chic and very much like Audrey Hepburn but I fear that my chest needs more freedom that the polo neck allows...
Plus, there is the difficult issue of how to style it without looking like someone's mum (as evidenced by these photos!)
Keep or return? How would you style it?

You probably won't want to hear this, but I'm not sold on it. But, then I don't like polo necks in general. Sorry!!! xx
I think I'm a no too!
But again, I don't really like them.
I want it to look nice, and with the shorts like that- with a huge chunky necklace, maybe. But It's just 'fine' for me x
Sorry sweetie, it's a return from me too! I love your necklace, though :] ♥
Saraah ^.^
I'd say return, love you though I do, this does nothing for you.
I think it'd be nicer layered under dresses :)
I used to love double discount day when I was at Asda
I think it looks lovely actually, and you've persuaded me to get a poloneck too x
I'm biased against the poloneck as my own neck is very short so it doesn't really work on me!
I tend to say if you are thinking of returning it that probably means you should - and reserve the space in your wardrobe (and the cash) for something you are crazy about.
you really suit it, but if you aren't sure...return!
I can't wear polo necks. I feel like I'm dying :(
Hmmm, it looks great on you, but it's not an amazing piece. Although, I'm not a hge fan of polo necks anyway.
I hate polo necks! You look cute in it but you don't sound sold on it, so I'd vote for return. Buy something you love instead.
I don't mind polonecks actually, despite being a larger-chested girl! I style them with high waisted skirts, loose hair and a necklace if I'm not at work (not allowed jewellery at work!) and it helps look less shapeless whilst keeping you nice and cosy. H&M do some nice jumpers and tops if you're looking for any alternatives! xxx
I'm not feeling polo necks either, I'd say return. They do remind me of my mum in the 90s!
The polo looks a bit baggy - I think it's a tad on the frumpy side (no fault of yours, just polonecks in general). Polonecks are very hard to pull off, not many people can get away with it. I think it'll be better if there was more structure - like a cute tartan dress over the top. (You know the ones I mean, the typical preppy office dress). But I would return - there is always something else to replace it with. xxx
I'd have to go with the majority and say return! It does swallow you a bit and even with the biggest necklace in the world it doesn't quite look fitted enough! Maybe another one with slimmer sleeves might work? ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
