Ketchup red and mustard yellow...

I took these photos just before the light completely disappeared and I think this is pretty obvious from these photos, I quite like the pinky tones of the sky though, the sunsets by my house are always gorgeous.

Jumper: Primark, skirt: Marks and Spencer via Jazmine, belt: Miss Selfridge, shoeboots: New Look
Since I first wore this skirt I have barely taken it off, it's just so comfy and although it's a bit of a difficult length to wear, I always feel quite 'bloggery' when I wear it...

This mustard belt came free with a playsuit from Miss Selfridge and I thought it added a bit of an edge to an otherwise neutral outfit (yes for me, red is a neutral!) The colour combination made me think of everyone's favourite condiments, ketchup and mustard, hence the name of the post... Hopefully it managed to cinch in my waist a bit and avoid looking completely frumpy, always a worry with chunky knitwear

I have been trying to experiment with my make-up recently and actually managed to do a smudgy smoky eye, basic I know but I was actually quite proud of myself!

I also brushed out my curls (a rare occurrence in itself) and had these lovely bouncy waves, an ideal candidate for #aussiemore I feel!

What unusual colour combinations have you favoured recently? Would you wear a chunky knit with a midi skirt?

I love mixing bright colours and your skirt is a fab length.

I recently wore bright orange and teal together. Keep the winter's bright I say!

You manage to do make up that looks as though you're not wearing any at all! A skill to be envied.

Awh such a cute outfit, I always love your outfit posts :) For me red is neutral too, I think it's because it goes well with neutral tones. I really like the belt as well, and your shoes. :)

Loving the colours, you look gorgeous as ever. Loving also the new look on Frills n Spills, very pretty.

Less a combo, but a new single colour, really loving the purple colour in my new leggings, I've always liked purples, but I'm not often brave enough to wear it, as it's that bit bolder than my usual neutral greys and blacks and nudes.

Ooh that skirt is gorgeous, such a pretty colour! It looks so good with a chunky jumper for a lovely wintery outfit. I'm jealous of how well you pull off midi skirts!

I love this outfit. Never would have thought a midi skirt and a chunky knit would work, but I was so very wrong

You look so beautiful in these photos Maria! These midi skirts really suit you, and the colour on this is gorgeous. I'm going to be hugely into tangerine and blood orange colours in the Spring I think! ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
