Moving up in the world

Apologies for the HUGE gap between posts, we have moved into our second year accommodation and FINALLY got internet sorted so expect to hear a lot more from sunny Coventry soon :) We have had a few problems as one of our original housemates has dropped out leaving us with a lot of issues to sort out including finding a new housemate! Luckily things seem to be looking up and hopefully we will be 100% sorted in a week or so...

One thing I am really excited about is MY BIRTHDAY! I am going to be 20 in 4 days and I do NOT feel old enough! In my head I am still about twelve or thirteen and it's quite a shock to know that in a few days I will no longer be a teenager but a "woman in her twenties"  My lovely boyfriend has organised a meal at Zizzi with my closest friends and then we are hitting Leamington for a few drinks - I genuinely can't wait! I know as you get older you are supposed to be less bothered about birthdays but I seem to get more and more excited every year... I suppose it's because all the attention is focused on me for 24 hours and secretly I love the limelight :D I am going to be wearing this LOVELY new dress that is actually one of my birthday presents (EEEEP!) and I am really looking forward to it :) Obviously the shoes I have are slightly less expensive than the Steve Madden ones featured here but as they didn't have the Primark ones I had to go for the next best thing! All in all,  I think the best thing about my birthday is the fact I get to see some of my friends who I haven't seen since the beginning of the summer :D unfortunately not everyone can make it but I'm sure we will still have an amazing time .... Roll on Tuesday!

Birthday outfit :)

I also have a number of new clothes items to share with you but I
think they will have to go on a separate Autumn themed post :)

Hurray!! Finally a chance to write a proper post :) As Maria said, things have been mad here; not only have we had the stress of moving into a brand new house [on our very own Imight add] but we now have to find a new housemate. This of course is cutting a very long story extremely short but for the sake of my fingers and your eyes, I’ll leave it at that.

Anyways, back to the new house! I think it’s safe to say that we’ve made the best of our humble little home [it’s amazing what a selection of plastic flowers can do] and in comparison to a lot of student housing I think we’ve come off pretty damn well. I won’t deny that we’ve had a few issues... a decrepit TV aerial, a slimy visitor in the form of a slug and a distinct lack of curtains to name but a few, but things are finally looking on the up!

Of course our main issue was lack of internet. As sad as it is, the house seems to feel warmer and cosier since being connected to cyberspace; our generations answer to a log fire maybe?! Anyway, we’re definitely relieved to have the web up and running again, even if it does mean we have no excuse to avoid work now. Speaking of which, it’s beginning to pile up already. We’re all struggling to keep up with reading, but are managing to motivate each other to do it.... strangely this currently involves drawing pictures for our fridge. At the moment we’re greeted with a smile from a puppy and the tragic goat when we make a grab for the milk. I’m thinking we’re going to have to discover more.... conventional methods of motivation soon, but for now I’m quite content with our random doodles.

Well I'm off to explore Polyvore now; I'm afraid Maria may have induced another addiction... oh dear. We will be posting some lovely outfit posts soon!!
