Wheat fields and daisy dreams...

Sometimes I am amazed at just how beautiful it is in the area where I live. I love the buzz of cities like London but give me rolling fields and pretty flowers and I immediately feel like I am home. My sister and I were looking for somewhere to take some outfit pictures when we stumbled into a field near to our house. I have only ever seen it in the winter when it is muddy but today it was like walking into a 1970s Laura Ashley catalogue. There were daisies everywhere. Of course, like a true fashion blogger, I threw caution to the wind and we managed to snap some photos in this gorgeous setting.

Dress: H&M via charity shop, shoes: Dorothy Perkins, necklace: Accessorize

There must have been thousands of daisies in this field! The smell was absolutely heavenly but unfortunately there were also hundreds of bugs :( In my haste to escape from a particularly menacing beetle I managed to stumble straight into a nettle patch... not my finest moment!

Apologies for the chest shot but I had to show you my gorgeous necklace. I have never really subscribed to the idea of a statement necklace but this may have converted me! It is one of the heaviest pieces of jewellery I own but it is my favourite piece at the moment. The colours match perfectly with this dress and I can't wait to pair it with my various bright summer shorts!

As it was warm  yesterday (finally!) I wanted to keep my hair off my back so bundled it up with some clips and added a cute daisy to make it a bit more interesting. I was quite pleased with the finished product and it was so easy to do, I will definitely be experimenting with some ribbons and plaits too now that my hair is long enough to actually do things with! I need to try and decide what I am doing with my hair for my graduation too, any ideas?

Is there actually anywhere prettier than this?

How did you have your hair for your graduation? Are you a country or a city gal?

ooooh what an amazing necklace!
I didn't go to my graduation but I would have had my hair down, nice and simple. You hair looks really ncie up, you should see what the weather is like on the day, if its really warm you should put it up out of your way x

I love these photos! I'm actually a little bit jealous of anyone who blogs from the country, you always have lovely backgrounds and there aren't nearly so many awkward moments when people stumble across you trying to take your own photos. I'm right in the city centre and all my photos are done with a balanced camera, timer and lots of running. There are so many gorgeous locations nearby I would love to try out but I'm too nervous. Maybe I just need to find myself a hot photographer boyfriend, then my problems would be solved...

I love this dress, the colour looks amazing on you! The necklace is gorgeous too, lovely detail shot xo

Haha, it's our dress ;) you look so pretty in these pictures :) And that necklace is immense! I am a big fanof Accessorize for jewellery, even now that I've stopped working there!
And that hairstyle looks so pretty for you, too! I LOVE hair styles, now that my hair is long enough to do almost everything with, so my favourite place for ideas is youtube, there are loads of ladies who do wonderful retro-inspired 'dos as well as celeb-ones etc, so it's a great source of inspiration! :)

Wow, you live in such a beautiful place! You are definitely very lucky to have that on your doorstep.

Love the necklace too - it goes beautifully with the dress, and definitely makes a statement!

Gorgeous photos, I love the country side too. I like your necklace as well, looks like a piece I would buy but not wear due to the size, perfect with this dress though xxx

Looks like such a stunning place. I'm on the hunt for somewhere like this in London.

And love that purple dress as well. It fits in perfectly with the background.

And love how you put a flower in your hair.

So pretty! I love the dress and the location! I went home last week and got to prance around in summer fields again, where I am now is very much a grey city, not very nice to look at!
I love your hair up, it looks really pretty. I don't know what to do with my hair for graduation either. I like to wear it up, but I can't with those stupid hats they make us wear! :P x

These are so lovely. The necklace and the daisy in your hair are such a perfect touch. I also live close to some beautiful places, but rarely get the chance to take pictures outdoors. You have inspired me to try harder!

Such a pretty necklace and even prettier setting! Love the way you've styled your hair too, mine's just getting long enough to do things like this with, fun to play with new styles.

Thank you for your comment on my blog birthday post by the way! Meeting you and the others at the Tabio has been such a highlight :)

So pretty Maria, I love that last photo.

I'm a country girl and these pics remind me so much of home. You forget about how amazing rolling fields are when you're stuck in the city all the time.

Hi Maria! hello from a random blogger- I saw your blog on Tasha's blogroll and liked the name of the blog so I visited! I'm sooooo glad I did- I ABSOLUTELY love wild ox-eye daisies so I'm wild about this post! WHAT an amazing field!!!! I always make daisy chain necklaces and put a daisy behind my ear when I find them, so love what you did with the flower!!!
I was born a town girl but I really am a country girl at heart. I blossom when I am in the country! That dress is a stunning colour and looks very pretty!

I love that dress on you! You look fabulous in it! And that necklace is so sweet. I too have never been one for statement necklaces as I love the idea but they're always at an awkward length over my boobs and do not create the kind of statement I would like :) xxx
