Floral Doc Martens...

I never thought this day would come, I am now the very proud owner of a pair of Dr. Martens! Admittedly these are floral and look more like a pair of brogues but they are still massively out of my comfort zone. When I wear things that scare me slightly, I pair them with old favourites, things that I know and love and so a colourful skirt and my trusty white top were pulled out of the wardrobe.

Top: Warehouse via charity shop, skirt: New Look, necklace: New Look, shoes: Dr Martens c/o Spartoo
Coral is definitely one of those colours that completely lifts your mood, I wear it all year round but it looks best with a bit of sunshine and this Max Factor lipstain is the perfect shade of coral, perfect for disguising a complete lack of sleep too!

Another chunky necklace to add to my collection, the colours are really bright in real life and the rope style chain adds a more interesting detail...

I completely blame Claire and Kate for these glorious shoes, I admired them both in their Docs and they persuaded me to try these out and boy am I glad I did! I was nervous when they arrived as I had heard all kinds of horror stories about how difficult they are to break in but actually, so far, I have had no trouble *fingers crossed*

I bought them as I was looking for some ankle boots to wear in this less than lovely weather but everything I was looking at seemed so wintry and I'm not ready for that just yet! I love the floral print on these and the rubber sole makes them perfect for splashing through puddles [yes I am actually 5 years old!]

Although they are something completely different, I loved wearing these shoes, I felt much more confident and I felt like a bit of a rebel (well as rebellious as you can be in white floral shoes!) when I was wearing them. Lucky (!) that it is such miserable weather at the moment as I will have plenty of chances to wear them!

Do you own a pair of Docs? What shoes make you feel confident?
P.S. This post was done in collaboration with Spartoo

I love these shoes and you styled them brilliantly. I've recently bought some red Docs from EBay, second hand means they've already been worn in for me, lazy I know xxx

I would never have guessed they were Docs. They look so amazing. Love how you styled them too.

I am in love with these shoes! I've never owned a pair of Doc Martins, always been tempted to purchase but never taken the plunge. These are gorgeous though :) The colour of the skirt is beautiful too <3

I love the ones you chose, they have a pair to suit everyone. I really like the red ones and black patent but feel like they would be too masculine on me. I had a pair in school and they lasted me about 8 years!

Oooh, I'm loving those Docs! I'd love a pair myself but find they're too clunky for me, think a pair like this would be lovely though as I do adore my brogues! xx

That shirt is gorgeous! I love the detailing on it. I've never owned a pair of Dr. Martens, but if I could have a pair that are as pretty as yours, I would definitely buy them!
