Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree...

Yes I know, I know it is only 4th December and far too early for putting up your Christmas tree but I have been feeling really festive since we hit December this year (personally I think it is because I am not forced to be cheery as I am not working at a supermarket for the first time since 2006) and after I bought some extra decorations for our first Christmas in the flat at the weekend, it seemed only right to put up our tree as early as possible, sorry not sorry...

The decorations are a mix of cute wooden decorations from parents and garish shiny baubles from Primark...

Mark and I said that we would slowly amass decorations of our own and we thought this was a fitting start to out collection. My favourite decoration has to be this wooden heart decoration, carved from the finest English oak, which we bought at Ludlow medieval fair a few weekends ago...

...or this cute little gingerbread man from Wilkinsons, I can't decide!

And just because everyone loves a gif, right?

When do you put up your Christmas tree? Are you in the festive spirit yet?

I haven't put any Christmas decorations up yet, I really want to but I think it might be a bit too much for my flatmates. Luckily my parents were super organised so I can get my Christmas fix by going over there and sitting by their massive tree. I love the idea of slowly collecting special Christmas ornaments, it's such a lovely tradition, and makes putting up the tree so much fun xo

Aww it looks so lovely!
Definitely not feeling the festive cheer this year, but as you said, when you've been talking about it at work for 4 months the joy is kind removed...
Ah well, least I do actually get to go home, even if I do have to face sales hell on the 27th.
Grant and I will be in our flat by then but I don't know whether we're going to bother decorating, we won't even have furniture so a tree seems a little excessive! Maybe just a little fibre optic one or something though.

Love your tree decorations. We haven't actually put ours up yet. The problem with living with busy housemates who want to decorate with all of us together. Can't wait :) x

Aww! Your tree looks so lovely! I love the mixture of personal decorations & the more typical bauble ones, it gives it such personality! I think the gingerbread man is my favourite, he is so cute! :)

Oh I love the gif, if I steal that idea I'll be sure to link you ;)
I adore your tree, so sweet. I keep seeing the ginger bread man, but have bought SO MUCH stuff, I though I better hadn't buy him too.
We're putting ours up tomorrow, super excited, first Christmas at our own place. Feels good right? :) xxx

OMGosh, that little gingerbread man is adorable, I want him! My tree goes up 12 days before Xmas and not 1 day before! ;)

Oh you are looking very festive indeed! And I am currently craving a ginger bread man right about now. I need to get my tree up. I feel so Scrooge like. And I work in a supermarket so that explains my bah humbug behavior! WORST PLACE ON EARTH TO WORK EVER DURING XMAS.

No decorations in my house because we are STILL renovating :( tinsel wont hide the fact that we don;t have a proper floor. I want to make gifs of something now, not made one before. Maybe one of my dog! x

One of my best friends has just moved into her first house with her boyf and her logic about decorations is the same - "we have many years yet to build up a collection!" I think yours is perfect, I love the lights and the colours are really warm :) ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
