Festive outfits...

It's always difficult to know what to wear over Christmas and New Year, everyone has different levels of 'dressiness' and you have to leave enough space to accommodate the enormous amounts of food you are bound to eat (surely this isn't just me?!)

Jumper: gift from Matilda, skirt: ASDA, tights: Tesco, excited face: model's own
On Christmas Eve, Mark and I decided to go for something cosy for opening our presents and I pulled out this festive jumper and paired it with a seasonally appropriate skirt.  I felt that an expanding waistband was necessary for all the Christmas goodies I was eating and this red skirt is a firm favourite of mine, plus it meant that I could match my lipstick to my outfit! ;)

This was my outfit for Christmas day, I bought this dress a while ago and have been waiting for a special occasion to wear it to. I was going to wear it on my birthday but I felt that such a princess-y dress was a bit too fancy for going out! It reminded me of the gorgeous dresses in the Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 RTW collection and the skirt is wonderfully swooshy- perfect for hiding a food baby!

Dress: Topshop, shoes: Stylist Click c/o Spartoo
I desperately need to get my hair cut, I think if I have it any longer it will look a bit silly and be too difficult to manage, what do you think? I treated myself to some new make up recently and bought another of my beloved Max Factir lipstains in a lovely dusky pink, the perfect neutral shade!

Originally I was going to wear these shoes but my grandparents' house (where we spent Christmas) is by the river and it was flooded so I had to pair this with my wellies to wade through the water, not quite so glamourous!

What did you wear over Christmas? How do you disguise a food baby?

Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas!
I am in love with that Topshop dress on you, so beautiful & suits you perfectly! And I always wear something either stretchy or very loose around to stomach too! It's the law to eat a ridiculous amount on Christmas! Hah! :)
