Comfort zone...

I have always envied people who could throw on a pair of jeans and look effortlessly good, I unfortunately never managed to find a pair that fitted both my waist and  hips and so I gave up. Recently though, the acquisition of this shirt from ASOS reignited my desire to find a pair of jeans that fitted me.

Shirt: ASOS, jeans: Boden via charity shop, belt: New Look, shoes: NW3 from Hobbs, bag: Fiorelli (gift)
I found these jeans the day I left uni, in my favourite charity shop and where usually I would walk past, for some reason I picked them up. The denim was soft and I thought that the flared shape would help ease me back into wearing jeans which I haven't done for about 2 years.

As you can see, the flares are huge and I needed my highest heels on to stop them dragging on the floor. The flares, wooden heels and billowy blouse made my outfit look quite 70s which I didn't realise until I was looking through these photos!

This blouse is so comfortable and I loved the little quilted detailing on the shoulders, I always think that it is the little details that make a difference to an outfit! I am also in love with the Max Factor lipstains and I am wearing 'Marshmallow' in these pics...

OOTD: Outtake of the day featuring Cousin It...
Based on these pictures, I think we are definitely experiencing the tail end of all of the hurricane weather! My hair looks like it's going to blow off my head, haha! I have to say, I can see why some people can't be separated from their jeans, these were really comfy and so easy to wear, I will definitely be turning back to these when I want something quick and easy to wear...

What do you think, can I pull jeans off? How would you style this shirt?

I'm exactly the same, I've not managed to find a pair of jeans that really fit me since I was about 13, and I'm a pretty average size 10/12! These fit you really nicely though, I love the flared shape, and they go really nice with the blouse :) x

I feel the same about envying people who throw on a pair of jeans and look effortlessly good but these ones really suit you - nice find! Also, I know I'm late in saying it, but thank you for the lovely comment on that Guardian post. Sally x

Loving the 70s look. The jean look fabulous. Personally I love wide leg jeans, I have wide hip in comparison to my shoulders so they help to balance me out. Those shoes look amaze too... how many shoes do you have, you're always posting different ones!

Like the jeans. I never realise how 70's some of my looks have been until I've seen the pictures, funny ins't it!

Loving the lip stain on you (I'm a fan also) and like the sounds of you in jeans more frequently, based on this.

I've been pretty anti-jean for a while. Not on others, just on me! I have a pair of harems/drop crotch jeans which I just wear on hungover/comfy days which I love, the softest denim and they hang really loosely around my hips. However, I'm pretty sure they're a crime against fashion so I won't be wearing them in public. However, since I bought my pink Jamie jeans from Topshop at the start of the summer I've started to warm up to the idea again. Maybe I'll be branching out into all kinds of jeans?
You look wonderfully seventies in these photos and I think it's great! One of this seasons trends but without looking like you've tried too hard. Really loving this look xx

I haven't work a pair of jeans since I was about 16 and I never wear trousers. They always draw attention to all the part I hate the most but I think I need to grt over my jeans/trousers anxiety and try a few pairs on. There must be a pair out there for me!
These flared jeans really suit you, I think this would be a style I would go for. This would look ace with a big blouse with a bow and one of those big floppy hats xx

Your outfit is lovely, you really really suit jeans!
I'm only a skinny jeans type girl, but it's such a challenge to find ones that fit, so I don't have many pairs!
But I wish I could pull off the flared style like you :) x
