Kate Moss lipstick...

To celebrate 10 years (!) of being the face of Rimmel London, Kate Moss has created her own range of lipsticks for them. I know Kate Moss can be a little bit Marmite but I really like her and of course she always looks great...

The collection is absolutely fab and as make-up was on 3 for 2 in Boots (and I needed some foundation) I decided to treat myself.  I love the packaging and think it suits the collection perfectly.

Now usually I would go for bright reds or pinks (shade 01 is right up my street...) but in the spirit of trying new things I decided to branch out a little and I bought the dark purple 04 shade and the rosy pink 08. Is it me or do you find it a little odd that they haven't named the collection, especially as all Rimmel's other lipsticks are named?!

Both of these shades are ones that are more challenging for me to wear, finding the right shade of rosy pink is always difficult for someone with skin  as pale as mine but I think this one may be perfect, dusky enough to wear with other make up but I imagine it would look as good on its own.

I don't know how I am going to pull off this purple without looking like I am one of the undead (all dark hair and pale skin) or off to a Halloween party In this picture I literally blotted it down to a stain but I want to be able to wear it in all it's full coverage glory... any ideas?

I'm hoping that the purple will come into it's own with a slick of liquid eyeliner and  a lot of confidence, maybe on a night out as an alternative t a smokey eye? I think I will be looking to Susie for ideas on how to pull it off

DO you like these lipsticks? How would you wear the dark purple lipstick?

Beautiful colours! They look absolutely lovely on! I have a dark purple Revlon lipstick, that I wore it on a night out with no other make-up so it wasn't too over-powering x

It is weird that they're not named, but hell I need that purple lipstick in my life!! I think with a clean face and tiiiiny, thin slick of liquid eyeliner it'd look fab x

I love purple lipsticks, I think you should go the way you said, for a night out with the rest of your make-up toned down. I love this look, only problem is I forget to re-apply lipstick so after however long my who looks toned down which I don't like for a night out xxx

It is a bit odd how they haven't named them! They are both lovely colours, I think the purple would look great on a night out! x

The purple would look fab on a night out, I wore red lipstick to work today and feel a little silly now. I find wearing listick so tricky!

I've been looking for a rosy pink lipstick, but like you I always find it tricky due to pale skin! I may treat myself to this one :)

Liquid eyeliner was exactly what I was going to recommend- with any of my really strong lipsticks I find thats always the best thing, because it brings enough definition to your eyes without making your overall face too 'full on'. Persevere with it, its more getting used to it than anything!

Yay, definitely needed this review. I've heard great things about the Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks, but still wasn't sure about getting them. They seem great through. Definitely going to try them out next time I'm in Boots.

Love both colours on you. The first one looks great.

I really want the nude one! Cannot believe she's been the face of Rimmel for 10 years now, god, I feel ancient!

Oh definitely go vampy with the purple, would definitely look awesome.

I love the look of the Kate lippies and keep meaning to check them out, I'd probably opt for the bright red or a bright pink colour. Oooh!

lovin' the purple lipstick, though is does seen a little more muted on than i thought. i definitely need to gain the confidence to wear lipstick regularly, it really can change an outfit! xx

I've never really considered purple lipstick but you've inspired me to give it a try! It looks great as a stain but as the others have said, I think you should go for it fully with minimal makeup on the rest of your face xx

I want to get one of these lipsticks! I definitely think you could rock the purple one with some winged liner :)

just go for it!!!! I think that purple looks great on you and would look even greater in its full glory. Maybe wear navy with it? Ot just go all the way with a velvet stevey nicks look? XX

I love the dark one! I'm not normally a lipstick person either, but sometimes it's so much fun to try something a little wacky! I can't get over how much I loved the practically black-purple that they put on my during Fashion Week, would never have tried that on my own. Hope you have a great weekend, maria! xoxox
