Wide legged...

I'm committing a bit of a fashion faux pas here as I don't usually like really wide legged trousers that are also super long but I bought these trousers for £5 in the Topshop sale last year and for that price it seems rude not to wear them!

Blouse: Urban Outfitters, trousers: Topshop, belt: New Look, shoes: Office
This top seems to work equally well with slim fit or wide legged trousers and I'm not sure which I prefer...

I do think that they make my legs look longer (GOMI had a fab post about fashion bloggers and their long trousers recently but I can't seem to find it?!) but I did get annoyed with the hems dragging on the floor all day!

Luckily these Office shoes have a chunky enough heel that they were comfy enough to wear all day at work and they made me just tall enough to wear the trousers...

Would you wear wide-legged trousers? Which outfit do you prefer the top with?

I think the trousers look great on you and the blouse looks good with slim fit and and wide leg.

I have the same hem skimming problems with wide fit trousers which is why I hardly ever bother with them but I bought into the whole palazzo pants trend last year and love my River Island palazzo pants. Except I have to wear super high heels with them which means I have worn them a total of twice.

Thinking of just getting them hemmed, though, because I love them so much.

£5, bargain! The only trousers I own are blue jeans I bought for Where's Wally fancy dress so I don't get this problem. I have short legs though so if I ever do getg trousers I'm sure they will drag. My mum uses that iron on hem stuff to take her trousers up x

Those trousers were definitely a bargain! I've never worn wide legged trousers, bit too apprehensive to try

Can't believe these were only £5, such a bargain! I never would have thought I'd like wide legged trousers either, but after seeing various bloggers wearing them it's made me really want a pair! These ones look lovely with the sheer blouse.

Bargain trousers indeed, especially for Topshop! I think wide leg trousers can look really nice, especially when balanced out with a more fitted top!

Wide Leg trousers are amazing. I really need more pairs that I can wear. Love the blouse you paired them with!

They look great on you. I personally love wide leg trousers but only have a couple of pairs. I really need to expand my collection :) x

Your legs look amazing!

I love wide legged trousers, but on a rainy day they are such a pain!

They're lovely on you Maria. I don't really do wide legged trousers myself as I prefer a straight leg/skinny fit on my short legs. I learned the hard way when I had a phase of wearing super wide flares when I was 14. Hahahaha. Oh dear.

I have quite a few pairs of wide leg trousers, I tend to go for a tighter fit on the top. But I think this sheer blouse works perfectly. Gorgeous classic outfit.

They look great on you & do make you look really tall, I love the little leopard belt too! Trousers dragging on the floor & getting tatty & ruined is one of my pet hates though, so I tend to steer away from any that touch the floor! Though I guess it's hard to argue when they were only £5! :)
