There are certain items of clothing that you can expect to find in everyone's wardrobe and a floral dress ranks high on the list. This H! by Henry Holland one has long been a favourite of mine since I bought it a couple of years ago. I have worn it so many different ways and although I loved the clashing prints in this outfit, this may be my new favourite way to wear it. The weather has been so rubbish lately that layers are necessary and I did top this outfit off with this coat, never say I'm not inventive! ;)
Dress: H! by Henry Holland, body: Wolford, tights: Tesco, socks: Primark, belt: Primark, shoes:Betty London |
I bought this Wolford body off Stanwells Rerun about a year ago after Laura recommended it and it is the perfect thin layer for under more summery dresses and tops. It is pretty sheer so you couldn't wear it by itself but it has proven invaluable all winter. This belt is also an old favourite, I used to wear wide belts all the time when I first started blogging but it has been ages since I pulled it out of the drawer....
Speaking of layers, these Primark socks were only £1 and they have served the dual purpose of keeping my toes warm and also to help me break in my new boots. The worst part of new shoes is always the breaking them in but these have been pain free so far!
It's the little details that make all the difference and the gold zip and buckle on these boots jazz up the plain black leather, I think I have found the perfect pair of knee high leather boots! Another wardrobe classic ticked off the list...
What are your wardrobe classics?

This dress is so pretty and I love the buckle detail on the boots!

sigh, I love those boots but Betty only go up to a size 7 and I'm an 8 :( Spartoo drives me insane for that sometimes, annoying European brands...
I never wear a long sleeved top under summer dresses but I might give this a go, get more wear from my lighter dresses.
Can't wait to see you this weekend roomie! xx
These are a bit fit aren't they! May have to add them to my next Spartoo purchase ;) Love the long sock detailing too missus xxxx
Ooh they're lovely! I am in absolute desperate need of some knee high boots but I've got such wide calves that I fear I'm cursed to never find any. Sad Alex.
love the boots, perfect for this awful weather we're having!xx
Love the floral dress, you can't beat a dress and high boots for winter!
I also have a pair of trusty black knee boots that I LOVE but with all this rubbish weather I'm worried I've destroyed them. Argh! That Wolford body sounds awesome.

Knee high boots are the best! And they make wearing dresses in this weather so much easier. I love your pair. Might have to go after the same pair, haha.
I love this dress - a flroal tea dress is pretty much my main wardrobe staple, and my when in doubt outfit is a red balzer with dark wash jeans, a pair of boat shoes or red heels depending on where I'm going and a classic handbag, with a slick of red lipstick - so they're all my wardrobe essentials!
I love these boots! My knee high boots have definitely seen better days but I was hoping that I wouldn't need to wear them by the middle of March! x
Love this dress- looks great this way!!
