Winter essentials...

This week, Autumn has well and truly edged into winter and I have been feeling pretty grumpy about being back at work after having a (much needed) week off so I have been cheering myself up with a few treats...

Traditional photo pose, even when wearing glorified pyjamas....
The best part about getting home for me is getting changed into my 'slob suit', a term Danni and I coined whilst at uni for those oh so comfy clothes that you love but could never leave the house in. This set from Uniqlo is absolutely perfect for slouching around in, it is lovely and warm and I am seriously tempted  to get it in more colours...

Hot chocolate is the perfect drink for when it is frosty outside and these Whittard tubs are absolutely delicious. My favourite has to be the cherry one (it tastes like Costa's black forest Christmas special) but the ginger one has enough oomph to be a close second. Best drunk from a mug in a cosy and stirred with a heart shaped spoon...

I'm sure you're completely fed up about hearing about my beloved Orla Kiely scarf so I won't say any more except that I love the colours. These chunky cable knit tights from ASDA have been a lifesaver recently, I always get really cold feet so these have been keeping my toes toasty.

Dry skin seems to be inevitable at this time of year so I have been using this E45 moisturiser to keep my legs smooth and so far I am impressed. I love E45 products anyway as it they are designed for dry and sensitive skin and this intensive version is perfect for winter.

I am loving all things burgundy at the moment and this Kate Moss lipstick is perfect for adding a touch of vamp to any outfit...

I think these may be my favourite birthday present! Fur lined velvet slippers that match my slob suit, what more could a girl ask for?!

With the judicious application of all of the above, I think I will (just about) get through the next few months!

What are your winter essentials?

That is an amazing cosy outfit! I've become really bad lately for getting home and sticking a onesie on, so comfy but so unattractive. I totally agree on the dark lipstick thing as well, it is so much better suited to this time of year, and that mug cosy is amazing! Such a cute post xo

I totally loving darker lipsticks and will be off to check out Miss Moss's collection! That colour is de-vine!
As to the cold dark days, I hate them to. I love a bit of autumn but now its getting frosty and colder, I can't stand it. As soon as i've gotten home and walked Coco, its a hot bath and pj's time! I love these snugly treats! x

I have just pinned those slippers because they are quite possibly the sweetest things I have ever seen! Going on my wishlist right now! :D Hope you're getting back into the swing of things babs, lucky you with a week off :) ♥ Claire @ Jazzpad

Slob suits are the BEST! I live in them over the winter.
Those fur lined slippers are gorgeous too.

Haha omg I have a "slob suit" for when I get home too, basically just my pyjamas. If I'm at home doing not much of anything, it's always in my pjs lol.

Loving the colour of that red lippie, gorgeous!

Bloody love those slippers. Current winter essentials.... stolen hoody c/o T, strong coffee of a morning, my Topshop cat scarf and my newly revamped coat (ok, so I just changed the buttons, but y'know).
