As I said the other day, I don't straighten my hair that often mainly because I hate how damaged it can leave it. I rarely use heat on my hair at all but since I had such a positive reaction I will definitely be trying it again soon. I was sent a style and protect set by ghd to review and I have to say that knowing I can protect my hair from the worse of the heat makes me feel a lot less guilty about straightening it!
Get your ghd hair products online here |
The set includes a huge paddle brush, some clips to section your hair (a necessity when you have as much hair as me!) the 'Straight and Smooth Spray' and the 'Final Shine Spray' which both smell amazing...
You only get 120 ml in the 'Straight and Smooth Spray' and 100 ml of the 'Final Shine Spray' but judging by the amount I needed when I did my hair here, this should last me for a while. I hadn't tried any ghd products before this but you have to admit, those guys know their hairstyling!
How do you keep your 'do looking glossy? Have you tried any ghd hair products before?

I have to admit I haven't straightened my hair for years now. I used to do it every day, but just gave up at one point because it was damaging my hair.
I now blowdry my hair every morning after swimming, so have been thinking about some heat protect or styling products for that as it's starting to get quite dry again (probably not helped by the chlorine).
Since getting a keratin treatment I have been able to largely lay off the straightening, yay. I agree with you, it does rip up the hair! But also makes hair smoothy smooth in the short term. I'd like to try some GHD heat protector, I guess they are the pros so you know it'll be the good stuff!
Glad I tripped onto your blog, off to read more now :)
I don't really use heat protector but I use 3 day straight spray which you are suppoised to use with straighteners and that works a treat. Love John Frieda products for this kind of thing x
I rarely straighten my hair either these days but my hair still gets rather crazy dry ends! Love the big brush in this set though and your hair did look lovely straight in your last post :)

I love ghd's. They're the best. You should style your hair more with them. I curl my hair with my straighteners.
