Me and my (Zaggora) Hotpants...

I never thought that there would be more than one post of me dressed in exercise gear on this blog but strangely enough I have been enjoying exercising (when I can motivate my sorry self to go for a run or head into the gym!) Since this first post I have expanded my collection of exercise gear and this purple and orange top is a suitably jazzy addition to my wardrobe. It is a pretty weird shape but is really comfortable and most importantly it doesn't ride up when I'm exercising - there's nothing worse than constantly having to hoick stuff up or down!

Top: Adidas,  Hotpants: c/o Zaggora, socks: Adidas, trainers: c/o Sports Shoes
I really love the colours but the best part of this top has to be the pocket. I always struggle with where to put my insulin pump when I am exercising (I could take it off but I don't like to be without it completely as it makes me a bit nervous; yet so little exercise gear has pockets.) Nike, Adidas, Reebok, whoever, if you are listening, please make more clothes with pockets, diabetics everywhere would be thrilled!

When the lovely ladies at Zaggora offered to send me some of their iconic Hotpants (no, not like these!) I was super excited. I have wanted a pair since Sarah posted about them on Where Are My Knees back in 2011 but until now I have never been exercising regularly so it wasn't worth spending the money. I was pretty dubious about their claims and as someone who is always warm (I am known to friends and family as a human radiator!) I wasn't sure whether their "signature Celu-Lite heating fabric technology" was for me. Don't read on if you are about to eat or drink or are particularly squeamish as (TMI) these bad boys are seriously sweat inducing. The first time I wore these, I had to literally peel them off me afterwards. Weirdly when I was wearing them I didn't feel sweaty at all but afterwards was a whole different story! After wearing them a few times, I can confirm that despite the weird noise they make when I move (wetsuit-like material sure makes a funny old sound!) they are really comfortable and high enough in the waist for me not to feel self-conscious about my stomach - definitely my problem area!

What do you look for in exercise gear? Have you got any ideas on how I could tone my tummy?

P.S. This post was done in collaboration with Zaggora.

They sound so amazing!! I'm really jealous Jade has some. I've never been to a gym but I really want to start exercising more.

These sound amazing, I've heard about them before, and am definitely thinking about getting some for the gym.
I love the idea of wearing something that can benefit your workout even more.

I've wanted to try these for a while - they look great on. I get annoyed at how few exercise clothes have pockets, I have a few pairs of shorts and leggings from the M&S sports range that have pockets just big enough for my door keys that would work for you. Otherwise I have to run holding my keys and get terrifed that I'll drop them down a drain! x

I love mine, gross and sweaty but that's what you want. Also good to sleep in if you're camping because they keep you warm haha... xx

You look great here Maria, I really need to get myself some new running gear and pockets - oh my why do running clothes never have pockets? I always end up stuffing my house key down my sports bra haha!

That pocket IS so handy! I wear a tennis skirt for the gym and my ipod always falls out the pocket. That means you could go on ANY machine, even the rowing. You have sorted out my major first world problem. Also, can I take this moment, to attempt to not sound too creepy, but your bum. AMAZING! What exercises are you doing?!

I'd never heard of those before but they do sound amazing! I'm the same as well, I've been really enjoying running since I started too - some days I do have to force myself to get my kit on & go out, but once I'm outside I love it! And the pocket is genius, I hate having nowhere to put my phone/keys when I'm out without a jacket.

I hate wearing work out gear with no pockets, so the top looks perfect. And I bet it feels really satisfying peeling off the pants after a workout!!
