As all of you lovely readers will know, I have been working at a wholesale plant nursery in my village but recently I have been struggling to cope with it. Although I finish at about 1pm each day, I come home absolutely EXHAUSTED and last Friday I ended up being sick about six times. I think this was partly to do with the insane temperatures we had on Thursday and partly to do with the insane pressure of trying to keep my blood sugars under control. So this weekend, I had a good old chat with my mum and decided to go up this morning and hand in my resignation. I was absolutely terrified because all over my contract it said that I had to give at least two weeks written notice and I was just going up and asking if I could finish earlier than I had planned (originally I was going to work until 22nd April). I was relieved to find that I was able to talk it over with my manager and worked out a viable solution- i.e. I'm not going to go in anymore!
I will really miss the nursery, the people there are all really nice and I made some really good friends there. There was a real family atmosphere and I will be sad to leave it all behind me :( Unfortunately though, I have to make the decision that is best for my overall well-being and health and this decision, whilst difficult and upsetting, is the right one for me.Hopefully, I will still be able to go out for a meal and a drink with everyone once we actually manage to organise it...hopefully it will be before Sophie and I go back to uni!We actually went out for a meal last year and it was INTERESTING to say the least! Bear in mind I had left BEFORE they started on the tequila! :P

Me and the lovely Sally who makes some of the nicest cakes in the world :)
Everyone is in this photo except Sophie! She must have taken it but her and Sally are the only two who were there at the same time as I was... We will definitely have to take some when we next go out, as all the other photos from this night are absolutely hideous or just too dark :(
Here are a few of my photos from this weekend...
What could be nicer than a barbeque for lunch and Greek style natural yoghurt with strawberries, tropical fruits and passionfruit coulis for pudding?
A new issue of Glamour and a snooze in the sun perhaps?
What have you all been up to? Did you make the most of the nice weather at the weekend?

you have to put yourself first, you'll miss work, sure, but you'd miss your health more
Exactly! That's what I thought... the money is just not worth being utterly exhausted! How are you anyway hun?? xxxx
Ahh it's always scary making decisions like this.. I've resigned from 2 jobs before because I really hated them and it is really nerve racking making that decision. Sounds like your choice is going to be for the best though, no job is more important than your health :)
