Peanut butter and banana cookies recipe...

I was recently offered a copy of Eric Lanlard's Afternoon Tea to review and I jumped at the chance. I own a lot of recipe books but very few that are baking focused. This one is beautiful and full of delicious recipes. It's not necessarily a book for complete beginners (I wouldn't know where to start with making tuna and pumpernickel mille feuille for instance!) but there are some interesting twists on classic recipes- I can't wait to try the savoury macarons! I did find it difficult to choose which recipe to try first but I decided to be nice and bake something for Mark for a change! I'm not normally a fan of banana in bakes but these cookies were absolutely divine. I ate 2 when they were fresh out of the oven and spent the next few days working my way through the rest.

Cooking with Baking Mad: chocolate truffle cookies recipe

There's few things in life as satisfying as a warm cookie fresh out of the oven and I was able to indulge that impulse this weekend when I baked these delicious chocolate truffle cookies. I took the remainder of these into the office on Monday and I have never seen people so enthusiastic! Plus people were asking for the recipe, which is always a good sign I think!

WARNING: these taste absolutely delicious and it is impossible to eat just one, however iron your willpower!

The best peanut butter cookie recipe...

When I was younger I had a real sweet tooth and liked nothing more than baking (and eating!) sweet cakes and treats although I usually prefer something more savoury these salty peanut butter cookies are the perfect mix of sweet and salty.  This recipe is a slightly adapted version of one from my beloved Cookiepedia- Americans sure know their cookies!

Leon cherry and almond cookies with chocolate chips...

There is nothing better than the smell of freshly baked goods wafting through the house, apart from not having to make them yourself. After a horrible few days of being ill and feeling sorry for myself, Mark decided to take decisive action and snap me out of my stupor by baking me some cookies.I love my Leon cookery books ( I also posted about the tracker bars I made) and Mark adapted this recipe from one in the Leon cakes and puddings book, which produced some wonderfully nutty cookies.
