Bits and bobs...

Apologies for the distinct lack of outfit posts recently, I have been working at a plant nursery just outside my village and consequently my daily outfits have been some khaki combat-esque trousers and any t-shirts that I can scrounge off my relatives. I just don't have anything that can be termed casual as I am more ostentatious than understated and my clothes are what my mother deems "impractical for any kind of activity apart form lounging around"... to be honest, in my current state, that sounds like HEAVEN. I am only working from 7.30 am to 1pm, but everyday I come home utterly exhausted and aching from head to toe. Luckily, a quick whizz around the internet to all my favourite blogs soon cheers me up ;) SO, rather than outfit posts, I am going to share a few things that have been making me happy recently :)
I fond it very difficult to find rings that fit as I have very small hands but very fat knuckles, making it impossible to find pretty rings to wear that fit over my abnormal knuckles. The middle one is part of a set of 3 from Dorothy Perkins about a year ago and is fondly known as the"bling ring" as it is quite big...
.. but nowhere near as big as this bad boy!I got this gorgeous ring from Miss Selfridge fairly recently and it is absolutely MAHOOSIVE! It is a globe shape that makes it quite difficult to wear but I just love it as it is so pretty (and adjustable too!)
Originally this ring had a butterfly on it but it snapped off a couple of days after I bought it :( Although this is also absolutely HUGE, it is less obvious than my globe one which means it's a lot more versatile to wear.
A design for my future engagement ring? Except in diamonds and platinum obviously! ;)
The cutest necklace ever! Mark got me this for my birthday, and I absolutely adore it. Whenever I wear it, people always comment on it and ask me where I got it from.
This little beauty is from Accessorize and was also a birthday present from my friend Mike :)
I seem to accumulate jewellery on all of my birthdays, this was a gift from my eighteenth and is one of the most versatile pieces I own as it incorporates many different colours :)
And last but by no means least.... my lucky necklace! This is the necklace I was wearing when I went to my interview for my summer internship which I GOT! Since then, I have worn it whenever I feel in need of a little extra confidence or luck.
Aside from adding to my jewellery stash, I have been trying to take care of my skin now I am officially 'a woman in my twenties'. This Vitamin E skincare range from Boots hasn't irritated my (usually) sensitive skin and in fact makes it positively glow (something to do with the slight shimmer in the moisturiser?!)
Best of all? The range is on offer at Boots RIGHT NOW... what are you waiting for?!

What things have been making you smile recently? Do you have any tips for looking after your skin?

I'm so slack when it comes to skincare, besides using a mini facial brush with a cleanser (it's from the Body Shop, but I can't find it online) and then putting on moisturiser, I don't do much to it! Which is probably not good but for now it seems to be working.

Love the jewellery, especially the rings. I wish my hands were small, I have the opposite problem, my hands are huge so finding rings to fit is ridiculous!

I just can never get rings to fit unless they are adjustable which can be quite a chore! It was one of my new year's resolutions to take better care of my skin and so far, so good! :)

I use the Tesco Vitamin E face wipes too, but I actually love my Boots Vitamin E eye cream - it really does make a massive difference to dark circles under the eye! You should check it out!

Think I'll try their moituriser too now! x

Aww I'm smitten with that ickle gingerbread man! You have a lovely and enviable jewellery collection. And well done on getting your summer internship!

I'm obsessed with skincare products at the moment, now that I am also in my twenties I'm so terrified of waking up and finding wrinkles! I've only just managed to get rid of my acne. :( I find Boots age defying moisturiser really good too... it's slightly pricey but evens out the skin tone really well, so if you're prone to redness give it a shot!

Thank you I was super excited when I found out but I still don't know exactly where I am yet :S I am obsessed with my skin atm I need to just stop my skin from breaking out in spots and to stop going red but I will try the age-defying stuff..thank you for your recommendation :) xxxx
