This week has been...bittersweet

L-R: James, Lisa, Mark, me, Harry and Danni
This week I finally finished my exams and I don't think it has quite sunk in yet. I haven't been quite as ecstatic as I was last year but I think that is because it is all happening for the last time. Saying goodbye to my housemates has been absolutely heartbreaking, especially as I have had such an amazing time this year with some really brilliant people. I really hate saying goodbye and I really can't believe that these three years have gone by so quickly and I'm not ready to let it all go yet.

Luckily there are a couple of us still around and we have been making the most of our freedom with lots of yummy food and plenty of Pimms.. there really is nothing better in the sunshine! I am planning to spend a lot of time in the park picnicking too, a cheap way to have fun and use up all of the food from my fridge too :P
You may have seen my tweet about finding a grey bag and let me tell you, it was next to impossible. I have a pair of grey shoes that go with pretty much everything and have never found a bag to match them until now! After a morning traipsing around Leamington,  I finally managed to track down this beauty in Miss Selfridge. It is the perfect size and can be used for day or night so I am really pleased with it! I am hoping to wear this for the Aussie party next Saturday, are any of you going?

(♥)
I also managed to meet up with SarahHannah and  Hannah's friend for coffee today and it was lovely to see them again, even if we still didn't take any photos! I have been slowly working my way through Sex and the City too, as the episodes are only half an hour or so I can watch quite a few a day! That and The Sims 3 have been taking up my time recently, perfect for relaxing on the sofa with!

How do you cope with saying goodbye? What is the best way to relax?

P.S. Are any of you going to the Aussie party? What are you wearing?

Massive congratulations on finishing uni- I remember the strange feeling of being so excited but absolutely gutted at the same time. Sounds like you've been having a lovely time with lots of Pimms though! Days spent working through the SATC boxset are some of my favourites!xx

I know the feeling! It still hasn't quite sunk in yet that I've finished uni, got a job and will have my very own class come September! (EEEK), it's really sad to be leaving Leeds and the friends I have made there, but it's also very exciting! But saying that, it never makes goodbyes any easier! xx

Huge congrats on finishing Uni, Maria (: Nothing nicer than Pimm's and some sun! I'm awful at goodbyes too, I'm always a sobbing mess at the end of each Uni year, God help me next year when I finish for good. And yay for Sims 3 :D xx

yeah for finishing uni and yeah for coffee's today, was a nice end to my weekend as was the shopping trip to H&M afterwards =) When I finished my degree I stayed in Derby for another year with my friends but then we all started to move away which was when it really got sad and felt like the end of an era but we all manage to stay in touch which is great and now everyone lives all over the place so I can visit new places hehe

Well done for finishing, it's so sad though isn't it?! I've cried at least 4 times now haha, I just really hope I manage to keep in touch with everyone x

after living with the same 6 girls for 3 years we all wanted to kill each other at the end!! wish I had lived in a mixed house, girls are a nightmare.
I was quite lucky that most people I made friends with at uni were people I met in work at Topshop or going out in Cardiff so they all stayed around after like me :)
I usually listen to a bit of Adam and Joe to relax and walk my dog

Yay for finishing exams! You're going to have a fab summer. Definitely take the summer off to enjoy before getting into a job...although if the perfect one comes along, take it.
And the grey bag looks great. I'll definitely be seeing you at the Aussie Party.

Goodbyes break my heart too! I have grown up in an environment where I used to have to say goodbye all the time, to people very close to me, and then Mr and I did longdistancing for three years, and each time I would jsut die a little. So I didn't cope very well. I just crawl in bed with ben and jerrys and watch us sitcoms :P haha, so far that is the most effective way to get over a goodbye that I found! :)
