This week has been... full of housemate fun!

You know it has been a good week when you have a tin full of cakes (Amaretto cakes and cherry and chocolate) and a heart shaped chocolate biscuit cake in the fridge. Occasionly  I get the urge to bake [usually if I'm hungry!] and after scrolling through the recipes on here, I found this recipe which Danni posted back in November. Luckily I had the ingredients and it was the perfect pick-me-up after uni deadlines and exams. Seriously, this cake is a hug covered in chocolate...

Heart shaped mould c/o Laura
I am sure that all of you know the gorgeous Laura of A Daisychain Dream and know that she is as lovely a person as you could wish to befriend. Unfortunately she has a very negative effect on my bank account as I can't help but feel that she would approve of  encourage purchases such as this gorgeous fork and spoon set from Paperchase ;)  Whilst it has a practical purpose, the cute print means that I have a smile on my face when I am eating my dinner, even if people wonder why I have a child's spoon set! :P

She also sent me a gorgeous personalised mug along with her letter and I LOVE IT! Apologies to all of those people who I still owe a letter; Lil, Claire and Chloe, I will do my best to send you your letters this week!

This week, in honour of my Aussie lighter life challenge, I have been to the gym with my housemate Lisa and Danni, Lisa and I have also done an exercise DVD. I always feel much more human if I have done some exercise and we have pledged to try and do something every day, even if it's just walking round the park together before watching The O.C. This Sunday, we decided to take a 'family walk' up to Kenilworth Castle and it was the nicest way I could have spent a Sunday and I came back totally relaxed. We wandered around the park, had a yummy milkshake at a local teashop and then went to coo over the cutest little ducklings ever. I was seriously in love!

L-R: James, Mark, me, Danni, Lisa
We also went out on Thursday night for a few drinks at a local bar and it was fab to just spend some time together outside of our house. I am seriously going to miss living here next year so I'm making the most of it whilst I still can :)  It is so nice to spend time with people I get on so well with and am lucky enough to live with so thank you guys <3

The obligatory outfit shot before we went out! Top: Marks & Spencers via charity shop, skirt: Zara, shoes: Primark, necklace: Topshop

How do you relax? Do you prefer to go out or do nothing on your weekends?

CAKE! Sorry, I get a bit over excited where baked goods are concerned. I have a baking date with my best girl Mel on Weds- post Spanish come down I feel. Want to make cookies for The Guy's birthday, as I think they'll just about post ok, when packaged right.

Glad to hear you've been having some fun in between the drudge. I'm having dinner with the boys tonight as my attempts to relax a bit inbetween the studying. 24 days, 7 more exams *sigh*

Your Sunday sounds wonderful, the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon is definitely with friends and a little adventure. And now I really want a milkshake haha!

Paperchase is the only place I can find that does ink cartridges in silly colours like purple and turquoise and yellow.
